CORT Migrant Farmworker Summer Staff Training

666

Description

Farmworker and immigrant worker legal services programs throughout the Midwest collaborate annually to present a pre-season farmworker law training targeted primarily to farmworker and immigrant worker advocates employed by the various programs. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s training will consist of a series of webinars.

The training will be conducted by experienced, permanent staff from farmworker and immigrant worker programs. The training is open to participants from any interested legal services offices or non-profit public interest law firms, as well as others who represent agricultural or immigrant workers with their legal issues. This training will introduce seasonal and full-time staff to the various legal issues and unique barriers that farmworkers and immigrant workers face, especially considering COVID-19.

For more information and documents, see the training event on the CORT website.
