Neighborhood Legal Services Michigan (NLSM) has an opening for a full-time paralegal at its Redford office. The paralegal will be working with Elder Law & Advocacy located at 12121 Hemingway, Redford.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interview clients.
- Have some working knowledge of legal issues as they pertain to seniors, prefer some experience with Landlord/Tenant issues or Medicaid.
- Draft legal documents and correspondence
- Confer with assigned attorney regarding case issues.
- Other duties may be assigned by supervising attorney or the Managing Attorney.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have completed an approved paralegal program and have been certified as a paralegal.
- Must be able to work independently, under pressure, and work as a team player.
- Must possess good communication and organizational skills.
Salary range based upon experience.
