Where to Go for Help

If you need help in obtaining documents or paying for fees, you should contact the non-profit or faith-based organizations in your community.

  1. Call the local 211 call center or United Way that serves your county to find out what organizations in your community can help: http://www.uwmich.org/2-1-1/2-1-1-call-centers
  2. If you were recently released from prison, check with your parole officer or the Michigan Prison Re-entry Initiative community coordinator for your county.
  3. Check with your local Community Action Agency: http://www.mcaaa.org/

We hope to include the names of local helping organizations to this site. If your organization is willing to be listed, please let us know by writing us at michid@ccj-mi.org.
