Staff Attorneys - Legal Services of Eastern Michigan - Flint Office

Legal Services of Eastern Michigan (LSEM) has staff attorney positions open in its Flint office.

LSEM staff provides free legal services to low-income individuals and households in a 14 county area in Eastern Michigan. Staff attorneys provide service and impact work in a wide variety of poverty law issues such as housing including fair housing, public benefits, employment, senior, family and consumer.

Qualifications: A license to practice law in Michigan, admission by reciprocity (3 years of active practice in another jurisdiction) or a law graduate able to practice under MCR 8.120. Poverty law and clinical experience preferred. Demonstrated oral and written advocacy skills necessary.

Salary/Benefits: LSEM is a unionized program with salaries based on experience. LSEM offers an excellent fringe benefit package that includes a pension plan, health care, life/disability insurance, professional development, and generous vacation/sick time.
