The Michigan Poverty Law Program (MPLP.org) is looking for a tech savvy SI Community Information student to provide part-time research, editorial and web development support.

MPLP provides support and training to local legal aid programs and other poverty law advocates in Michigan. It is a social justice project of the U of M Law School and the Legal Services of South Central Michigan, located in law school space on central campus. Duties include:
(a) researching technologies of relevance to the nonprofit legal services community;
(b) maintaining content on MPLP’s multiple Plone based websites including http://michiganlegalaid.org and http://mplp.org; and
(c) some minor web development work as necessary.

Qualifications: Broad technology knowledge and excellent writing skills required. Technology background and web development experience preferred. Preference given to workstudy eligible graduate students and those with Plone experience.

Work hours and days: 10+ hours/week dependent on workstudy grant. Evening and weekend hours possible but not expected.

Compensation: $10/hour
