JOB ANNOUNCEMENT – Contract Administrator

Neighborhood Legal Services Michigan, has an opening for a full-time Contract Administrator at the Redford Office. The Contract Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the administrative aspects of the programs at the Elder Law & Advocacy Center. The position will consist of a 35-hour work week; primary hours will be accumulated Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Position subject to continued grant funding. Salary range based upon experience.

Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the formulation and preparation of grant applications and renewals;
  • Complete timely reports for the Elder Law & Advocacy Center and Great Lakes Legal – Mediation Division and their funders under the supervision of ELAC’s Managing Attorney/Director of Programs;
  • Maintain client case management database;
  • Oversee support staff and interns, including scheduling and monitoring daily progress;
  • Abide by all ethical duties including confidentiality requirements for a law office under the Michigan Rules of Professional conduct;
  • Participate in conferences, trainings and other educational activities; and
  • Other duties as required.

Successful candidates should have at least a general understanding of 501(c)(3) entities engaged in public service. Experience with legal services would be beneficial. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to public interest. Some grant writing experience preferred.
