Background

The Michigan Legislature approved increases in the budget for the Department of Human Services which included modest increases for the monthly FIP and SDA amounts.

What's Happening?

Effective 10/01/2008, The monthly FIP grants increased by one dollar for each person on the grant.   SDA was increased by $5 per person per month.  Recipients should notice the increase on the Bridge care in this month’s allotment.

What Should Advocates Do?

Advocates should make clients aware of the change.

What Should Clients Do?

Clients should notice the increases on their Bridge card this month.
