CORT First Friday Webinar: What Advocates Handling SSD/SSI Hearings Need to Understand About Social Security's Rules of Conduct and Standards of Responsibility

609

Description

In recent years, the Social Security Administration has introduced several new regulations and sub-regulatory guidance that affect how, what, and when representatives should submit evidence in disability cases. These include the 2015 “all evidence” rule, the 2016 “five-day” rule, Social Security Ruling 17-4p, and the 2018 revision to the “Rules of Conduct and Standards of Responsibility” for representatives. This presentation will focus on these three regulations and one related Social Security Ruling, explaining their plain language, additional information from Federal Register notices, and communications between NOSSCR and SSA, with details on how representatives are ensuring that their practices conform to these rules. Presenter: Stacy Braverman Cloyd, with the Washington DC office of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives (NOSSCR) will be our presenter.

Note: The webinar will be hosted in Michigan.
