MPLP Law Clerk Training

514

Description

MPLP is sponsoring a one-day summer law clerk training to introduce law students to poverty law practice. We'll cover introductions to the basic substantive areas of legal services practice (family, housing, public benefits, consumer, immigration and elder law).

There will be a small fee of $25 for the training to help with costs for lunch and materials; $50 for non-legal service programs. Please make checks payable to MPLP and submit in person at the training, or by mail to: Kerri Ferrari, Michigan Poverty Law Program, 220 East Huron Street Suite 600A, Ann Arbor, MI 48104.

Parking passes will be available upon request, and mailed to you before the training. Our strong advice is that clerks try to carpool, as parking is very limited in U-M campus area. The Hill St parking lot (at Hill and Division) is the lot we will have parking passes available for (it's about 4 blocks from the law school).

Driving directions are available online at http://www.parking.umich.edu/maps/index.html.

No confirmation letters will be sent. For logistical or registration information contact Kerri Ferrari at 734-998-6100 x 151 or kdr@mplp.org. For substantive information contact Lorray Brown at x 113 or lorrayb@mplp.org.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Please submit your registration by May 15,2015.

CANCELLATION DEADLINE: You must cancel your registration on or before May 20, 2015. Programs will be charged for late cancellations and no shows.
